Tire Talk blog looks at publicity stunt

"Any publicity is good publicity" goes the old maxim. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. generated a lot of publicity for one of its new tires with a recently staged event.

MTD Senior Editor Mike Manges examines the stunt and the exposure it received in the latest installment of his Tire Talk with Mike blog on

"Goodyear filmed the (event) and quickly edited a video package that was distributed via several on-site satellite trucks," Manges writes. "The video was picked up by NBC's Today Show, ESPN's Sports Center, CNN Headline News and other programs."
