RMA cancels annual meeting

Jan. 16, 2009

Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) members have agreed to cancel the association's April 2009 annual meeting in Ponte Verde, Fla., as a cost-cutting measure.

"A lot of our members have cost-cutting (programs) in place," RMA spokesman Dan Zielinski told www.moderntiredealer.com earlier today. "Everyone thought it would be best not to hold it this year."

Zielinski said the RMA is planning "alternative events" that will allow its members to get together and communicate with one another.
