Nexen Tire Corp. will raise prices on its passenger and light truck tires, effective March 1.
Prices will increase by up to 6%, according to Nexen officials.
Nexen joins several tiremakers that have started the new year with price increases.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp., Hankook Tire America Corp., Yokohama Tire Corp. and Continental Tire North America Inc. hiked prices on Jan. 1.
Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. will raise its passenger, light truck and commercial truck tire prices up to 6% on Feb. 1, 2006.
Michelin North America Inc. also will raise its consumer tire prices on Feb. 1.
