When do 97 filters equal 98? Ask Bosch

Dec. 12, 2012

Robert Bosch LLC has completed its line of Bosch Workshop Oil Filters. Ninety-seven Workshop Oil Filters provide 98% coverage for domestic, Asian and European vehicles in operation in the United States and Canada.

The line targets automotive repair shops, technicians, jobbers and warehouse distributors.

“By utilizing the familiar red and yellow packaging that Bosch has traditionally used for this segment, this dedicated line of spin-on oil filters and cartridge oil filters carries the message of Bosch quality and reliability,” says Chuck Kerrigan, director, Regional Business Unit, North America, for Filtration Americas, a division of Robert Bosch LLC.

The company claims an efficiency rate of 97.5% in removing dirt, and a capacity to hold 13 grams of dirt (13 grams of dirt are the equivalent of 31 standard size paper clips).

“All Bosch premium oil filters have a more sophisticated construction (see photo), which provides a tight seal for a leak-free installation, and can still be easily removed,” says Kerrigan.

Bosch also offers cabin air and fuel filters to the North American aftermarket. For more information, visit www.boschusa.com.
