Tech400SD + OBDII = GM/Ford TPMS tool

Nov. 14, 2012

The Tech400SD combination tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) tool from Bartec USA LLC can program new TPMS sensor ID’s on General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. vehicles -- through the OBDII connection.

“We listened to our customers when they told us about the missing key fobs, difficulty getting cars into learn mode, or having to take the car off site to complete a relearn,” says CEO Scot Holloway. “Programming GM and Ford vehicles through the OBDII eliminates all of these issues for our customers, and makes the relearning faster and easier.

With the Tech400SD, a technician can use the same easy three-step procedure of “Capture, Connect and Program” for GM and Ford models equipped with direct TPMS.

”Equally important to ease of use is process training," says TPMS Product Manager Mike Rose. "For example, using the Tech400SD, the relearn process is the same on a Toyota Camry as it is on a Chevrolet Impala!  That means learning only a single method of repair on a domestic and imported vehicle -- a huge savings in time!"
