In celebration of 15 years in business, Jay Jenkins, owner of Jay’s Tire Pros, Bountiful, Utah, held a customer appreciation day on June 8, 2012.
The event was supported by Tire Pros and American Tire Distributors (ATD) staff, which even included a special tire delivery during the event by the ATD Salt Lake City distribution center.
The focus of the annual event has been to say “thank you” to customers, who made it a good sales day for Jay’s. This year, Jenkins decided to offer tires at cost, plus an install fee to generate more sales during the event.
It was a record sales day for the store, with a 300% increase over 2011. In return, Jay’s offered free lunch under a tent, free massages and drawings for tires and a Kindle Fire.
The company says the event was promoted successfully through Facebook, a newspaper ad, flyers, in-store displays, and community word-of-mouth.
