Griffin Brothers golfs for kids

Griffin Brothers hosted its fourth annual Chip’n for Children golf tournament benefiting the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte (BBBSGC).

On May 14, 2012. the tournament was held at Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. This year’s event raised $72,000 in gross revenue, and over 100 golfers participated in the tournament from various organizations and civic groups.

“We were very happy with this year’s tournament,” says Larry Griffin, Jr., vice president of Griffin Brothers. “We really enjoyed partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte, and this was the most successful tournament yet.”

This year’s tournament winners were the Wells Fargo team. All proceeds from this year’s tournament will help support BBBSGC and all related facilities.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has the ultimate goal of changing kids’ perspectives and give them the opportunity to reach their full potential. It costs $1,000 to match and support one child with an adult mentor for one year.
