ASE Hosts Tech Webinar on Readiness Monitors

Aug. 13, 2020

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar for service technicians, “Handling Incomplete Readiness Monitors,” at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 14 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Rick Escalambre, an automotive technical trainer, will cover how to plan for handling incomplete readiness monitors. He will provide insight showing why readiness monitors are not just for inspection and maintenance programs. This session will be useful for all technicians attempting to run a monitor to verify a repair or to prepare the vehicle for a smog check inspection. The session will emphasis OBDII Global MODE $09 and in-use performance tracking. In addition, participants can learn about the difference between an OEM trip (numerator), CARB trip (denominator) and the frequency ratio.
