Maxam Tire North America Inc. has added the all-new Maxam MS453 open pit mining tire to its lineup. The tire is available in size 53/80R63.
"In order to meet the toughest requirements for haul trucks that require 63-inch large mining tires, the newly developed MS453 utilizes an enhanced casing construction with advanced compounding technology," say Maxam officials.
"The MS453 is the result of advanced engineering, extensive research and global testing."
The tire features a rugged, aggressive tread design for optimal tire life; a reinforced sidewall with enhanced tread belts and bead construction; a deep tread depth; a heat-resistant undertread; and more.
"In addition, Maxam has implemented a new naming structure on some products within (its) large mining series to help broaden their future range of specialty tire programs. To assist customers and mine sites globally, the realignment of the model numbers will allow for easy ordering and program development as Maxam continues to expand the haulage program."
Maxam also notes that its MS403 product in size 37.00R57 and 46/90R57 has "been realigned" to the company's MS440 tire. All other sizes within the MS403 pattern will remain the same.
