Philips Brings Updated CrystalVision Bulbs to Aftermarket

Nov. 2, 2016

Lumileds Holding B.V., a subsidiary of Royal Philips, has expanded its line of Philips HiPerVision halogen bulbs to include the CrystalVision ultra upgrade, and for the first time the bulbs are available to the aftermarket.

Philips HiPerVision CrystalVision ultra bulbs produce a bright white light which delivers a high-tech look and offers a color match for Xenon HID headlights and Philips CrystalVision ultra upgrade headlights.

The aftermarket bulbs are available for DRL, fog, and front and rear signal applications for vehicle makes from 2004. The bulbs are engineered using a unique cathode ray tube technology, and Lumileds is the only OE supplier to employ this manufacturing technology.

Philips HiPerVision bulbs are standard equipment on several popular late model vehicles including OEM front fog lamps on GM full-size trucks and SUVs from 2007 and Chrysler and Jeep vehicles from 2010.

Aubry Baugh, marketing communications manager for Lumileds, says, "HiPerVision bulbs have become popular with OEMs because the bulbs are extremely compact and feature accurate coil positioning that helps improve reliability. For automotive retailers, Philips HiPerVision is a must-have for a complete lighting program.”
