Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. continues to expand its footprint in Texas, this time with the acquisition of McSpadden’s Tire & Automotive Inc., a four-store, retail-focused dealership serving the Austin market.
Raymond and Dianne McSpadden started McSpadden's Tire & Automotive in 1999. Sun Auto Tire & Service acquired their stores at these locations:
- 4241 South Congress (Congress)
- 14422 West Highway 71 (Bee Cave)
- 14824 North Interstate 35 (Wells Branch)
- 420 South FM 1626 (Buda)
Combined, the stores have 36 bays — eight each at the stores in Congress, Bee Cave and Wells Branch, and 12 bays in Buda.
The stores add to Sun Auto Tire & Automotive's presence in Austin. The company also has locations in Houston, San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth. Sun Auto has 207 stores across Texas, Arizona, California, Oklahoma and Nevada. (Sun Auto is the new name for GB Auto Service Inc.)
