Atturo Gives $10,000 to Keeping Families Covered

March 24, 2022

Atturo Tire Corp. has donated $10,000 to provide essential supplies to families through Keeping Families Covered. The nonprofit supports families in Atturo's hometown of Waukegan, Ill., and the greater Lake County area.

Keeping Families Covered provides a wide range of items to families through a mobile pantry service, including infant formula, period products, diapers, wipes and adult incontinent products.

Atturo leadership recently presented their donation, and the company's employees helped in packaging and preparing donations for an upcoming distribution event. Atturo President Michael Mathis said, “Most people don’t realize how big of an issue diaper need is in the United States, and as a father myself, I am proud to support an organization that helps families in need in both mine and Atturo’s backyard.”

The tire company will serve as a diamond sponsor of the organization's new "Changing Table" program.

Ann Marie Mathis, the founder and CEO of Keeping Families Covered, said, “These sponsorships help us to keep our shelves stocked so we can provide families with the basics they need to thrive.

“In each of the last two years, our distributions exceeded one million diapers, and the need just continues to grow. In 2021, we distributed about 100,000 diapers a month, serving 1,200 families and 1,800 children each month.”
