ATEQ TPMS Tools LC is adding a commercial truck tool, the VT Truck 2.0, to its lineup for the North American and European markets.
The tool follows in the footsteps of the VT Truck tool and it comes as ATEQ says commercial truck TPMS legislation becomes more prevalent in both North America and Europe.
“We’ve listened to the fantastic feedback from our customers and partners and have determined that commercial TPMS is the hottest topic for both North American and European markets," says Matthias Froehlich, European sales manager. The VT Truck 2.0 is the first TPMS tool that works for all OE manufacturers, has an OBD module and supports a variety of programmable sensors. The ATEQ VT Truck 2.0 offers functionalities specifically designed for the maintenance of trucks and buses and includes all-new OBD coverage.
Froelich says TPMS on heavy-duty trucks is just as critical as on passenger vehicles. VT Truck 2.0 includes OBD coverage of all Mercedes Benz Actros models, "eliminating the need to perform auto learns."
The tool features a sturdy and compact design, and can read even twin wheels and 22-inch tire sizes. ATEQ says the tool is compatible with most truck and bus TPMS sensors and can be updated to include new heavy transport vehicles as soon as they are introduced. The VT Truck 2.0 will also have the ability to program aftermarket sensors specifically for commercial trucks.
