Tire Discounters Inc. has entered the car wash business by acquiring Carriage House Car Wash, which is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Carriage House Car Wash has seven locations throughout the Cincinnati area.
Tire Discounters, also headquartered in Cincinnati, wants to expand that number to 20 outlets within the next two years.
"Carriage House pushes Tire Discounters into an exploding market segment, while also providing us with end-to-end customer solutions," says Steven Wood, vice president of Tire Discounters, which is the seventh largest independent tire dealership in the United States, according to the 2022 MTD 100, which can be viewed here, starting on page 34.
Tire Discounters President and CEO Jamie Ward calls the acquisition of Carriage House "a bold step for Tire Discounters. We are committed to delivering innovative customer solutions and know that entering the car wash market is the next step for us."
Chip Wood, the founder of Tire Discounters, was named MTD's Tire Dealer of the Year Award recipient in 2020.
