Pirelli Gains OE on Electric BMW M Model

BMW picked the Pirelli P Zero Elect tire as original equipment for the BMW i4 M50, the carmaker's first fully-electric car in the high performance division.

The vehicle marks the beginning of total electrification for BMW's sporting division.

Pirelli's P Zero tires with Elect technology are specifically designed to match the needs of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid models, including instant torque, increased weight and a quiet ride. The tires are reinforced to support the extra battery weight, and the compound is designed to offer grip for precise handling.
