Kyle LeDuc Wins Round 6 Of The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series

May 25, 2016

Kyle LeDuc and Toyo Tires returned to the top spot on the Pro 4 class podium this past weekend during Sunday’s Round 6 of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at the Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele, UT.

The 2015 Pro 4 Class Champion won a hard fought battle with a come-from-behind victory in his No. 99 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires Ford truck competing on Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires.

During Sunday’s Pro 4 class race, a ten-truck battle ensued on a track that had been soaked the previous day by a rainstorm.  The result… deep ruts that made the drivers focus hard in order to remain on point.  LeDuc’s win followed a fourth place finish during Saturday’s challenging Round 5.

“This was a tire race.  The track was tacky, had huge ruts, and it had a lot of variables that really let our Toyo tires shine,” said LeDuc.  “It was an amazing day for our team.  We are now moving on to more successes.”

Also finishing on the podium for Team Toyo on Sunday was Brandon Arthur.  Arthur captured a third place in the Pro Lite class driving his #6 Competitive Metals / Pro Traffic Services / Toyo Tires Ford truck running off-the-shelf Toyo Open Country A/T II tires.

“We congratulate Kyle LeDuc for scoring his first win of the 2016 season in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series,” said Stan Chen, senior manager of events and sponsorships, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.  “We also congratulate Brandon Arthur for his podium finish in the Pro Lite class during Round 6.  Conditions were tough, but our Toyo Open Country tires met the challenge in both classes.”

Moving from the higher elevations of Utah, the next races in the series will take place in Estero Beach, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico on June 18 and 19.
