Ingersoll Rand wins 'Top 20 Tools' award

Nov. 30, 2010

Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies has received a Top 20 Tools award from Motor magazine for the 2015MAX and 2025MAX Hammerhead low-profile Impactools.

The Top 20 Tools award recognizes manufacturers that create a new tool which helps technicians diagnose and repair vehicles correctly the first time. Products entered must be intended for use primarily on cars and light trucks by professional technicians and the product must also be unique in the industry.

The award was presented during the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in November in Las Vegas, Nev.

“We’re proud to have the Hammerhead named a ‘Top 20 Tool’ in 2010, but more importantly we are thrilled that technicians are using the Hammerhead tools to complete jobs quicker and more profitably,” says Kevin Stamets, business manager for strategic channels with Ingersoll Rand. “The Hammerhead is the ideal tool for technicians who need access in tight spaces with more power and control.”

The Ingersoll Rand 2015MAX and 2025MAX Hammerhead low-profile Impactools are designed for optimal performance, even in extremely confined spaces, the company says. They have 180 ft.-lbs. of torque and a conveniently located forward/reverse collar that provides unrestricted access to easily change the direction of the tool in tight spaces where traditional tools frequently get jammed. Knuckle-saver reactionless torque eliminates kickback, and further protects technicians’ hands while working in confined spaces.
