Myers combines inflation with libation

Oct. 27, 2010

An exclusive, new Tire Inflation Maintenance (TIM) customer retention program is available from Myers Tire Supply. The program is designed for tire dealers.

TIM is a nationwide initiative "dedicated to improving safety and the environment through the promotion of regular tire inflation maintenance," according to Myers.

For the dealer

"Each month, TIM sends customizable newsletters and text messages encouraging customers to return to the shop to have the tire pressure checked. Included with the emails can be service coupons for tire rotation, oil changes or any other service the dealer offers."

Online customer management tools allow the dealer to view and sort customer information by vehicle year, make or model; tire size and brand; and many other options. The TIM program gives the dealer access to daily reports of customers due for service that day or in the future.

Enrollment in the program includes: the initial set-up, online training, a Web site listing, a marketing kit, 50 registration cards and unlimited staff training and support.

For the consumer

The TIM program also offers consumers free membership in the TIM Auto Club, which provides the following:

* 24/7 towing and roadside assistance for any flat tire or other tire related issue;

* free routing service;

* free trip interruption coverage;

* travel benefits and more.

Richard Petty is the national spokesman for the TIM program. Petty, a seven-time NASCAR champion, will help host a private TIM presentation on Wednesday Nov. 3, at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

Invitations to the presentation are available from any Myers Tire Supply sales representative, or by calling (800) 998-9897.
