"American Tire Distributors Inc.'s expansion into New England, set to begin in 2011, could very well be the biggest story of the year," writes Modern Tire Dealer Senior Editor Mike Manges in the latest installment of his Tire Talk with Mike blog.
Earlier this week, ATD announced its plans to start opening distribution facilities in New England next year.
"New England is the only major U.S. region where ATD does not have a presence," Manges continues. "It also is home to some of the country's largest, most well-established independent tire wholesale distributors, including Max Finkelstein Inc., Englewood Tire Wholesalers, Sullivan Tire Co. Inc., Summit Tires of Massachusetts and others."
