July 6, 2010

Tire Company Solutions (TCS) has beefed up its service capabilities by hiring several new staff members, including Bill Williamson, who has been named head of regional sales.

Based on the West Coast, Williamson has more than 20 years of tire industry experience, including a stint as an independent tire shop owner.

"Having 'been there' himself, Bill has already proven he can understand and meet the needs of dealers (who need) a technology upgrade," says TCS President Barry Reese.

TCS also has named Mickie Gardenhire and Chris Puckett customer service representatives. Both will be based in Tennessee. Gardenhire has 11 years professional software support experience and Puckett has extensive experience in sales, support and management. He also worked in his family's tire dealership.

In addition, TCS has added two programmers, Stirling Waite and Adam Haymond. Waite previously worked as an IT technician for Unisys, while Haymond recently graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in digital media. TCS now has 10 full-time, in-house programmers.

In related news, TCS has promoted Jesse Schmeling to director of customer relations. He most recently served as the company's sales director. Meanwhile, Jessica Usrey has been named director of marketing. She most recently worked for Master Replicas Inc. as that firm's Web site marketing director.

"Growth at TCS has been accelerating and while very exciting for us, it also shows our commitment to our customers," says Kenny Pratt, TCS vice president of technology.
