Monro Muffler Brake buys Cheshire Tire

Monro Muffler Brake Inc. reports it has recently completed the acquisition of the assets of Cheshire Tire Center Inc. in Keene, N.H., which generates net sales of approximately $3 million annually.

Monro currently operates 783 stores in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Vermont, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maine, Illinois and Missouri under the names Monro Muffler Brake and Service, Mr. Tire, Tread Quarters Discount Tires, Autotire and Tire Warehouse.

Monro's stores provide a full range of services for brake systems, steering and suspension systems, tires, exhaust systems and many vehicle maintenance services.

The company also notes it will release fiscal 2010 third quarter earnings on Jan. 28. It will host a conference call and audio Webcast at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.
