Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has announced new sizes for its Toyo M655 s commercial light truck tire line.
The M655 on- and off-road tires are engineered for mining, energy, construction and forestry use. Each tire carries the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification.
The line features specialized caps and base compounds and a thick sidewall for durability and performance. The compound protects against cuts and chips and is heat-resistant.
The tire is engineered for maximum removal miles with E-balance technology to minimize tread profile growth and maintain uniformity throughout the tire's life, say Toyo officials.
“The new light truck sizes are a great addition to the Toyo M655 power lineup,” says David Demo, product manager, commercial truck tires, Toyo.
“They are designed to support vehicles that encounter extreme on- and off-road conditions while leaving the driver feeling confident that they will complete the job.”
The M655 light truck tire size will be produced in 17- and 18-inch wheel diameters. In addition to the newly announced sizes, the existing M655 medium truck comes in a 19.5-inch size and 22.5- and 24.5-inch sizes will be introduced late-2024.
The M655 will be available starting in April 2024.
The tire is also pinned to accept TSMI #15 studs for versatility in icy conditions.
