Ag and OTR Techs Complete Titan/TIA Training

Titan International Inc. and the Tire Industry Association (TIA) recently trained more than 40 ag and OTR tire technicians during a class in Truro, Iowa.

The course delivered more than 20 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours of hands-on work.

"An impressive 87% of this year's students attended for their first-ever TIA training," say Titan officials.

Companies like Stellar Industries, AME International and Fuller Brothers shared their expertise during the event as students rotated through several interactive stations.

Since 2017, Titan has sponsored training programs that have trained over 550 technicians, providing them with the opportunity to earn TIA certification.

"We're giving technicians the tools and confidence to do their jobs safely, no matter the situation," says Scott Sloan, global ag/LSW product manager at Titan. "What makes this training unique is the collaboration between Titan, TIA and our industry partners. It ensures every student leaves here not just more skiller, but more empowered to make safety a priority."
