TIA Announces 2024 Training Schedule

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced its 2024 training schedule for the tire industry.  

The Automotive Tire Service Advanced Instructor (ATS) 400-level tour, featuring 18 modules covering aspects of the wheel and tire industry, kicks off the year.  

The ATS 400 dates and locations are March 19-22 in Los Angeles, Calif.; May 21-24 in Detroit, Mich.; Aug. 27-30 in Seattle. Wash.; October, November and December dates are still to be determined.  

The Commercial Tire Service 400-level tour dives into practices like jacking, lifting and in-depth tire and wheel inspections. It will also focus on covering Rapid Installation and Service Techniques (RIST) and adhering to U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) guidelines. 

The CTS 400 dates and locations are April 9-12 in Brooksville, Fla; May 14-17 in Youngstown, Ohio; Sept. 10-13 in Youngstown, Ohio; and Dec. 3-6 in Brooksville, Fla.  

The Advanced Earthmover Tire Service (ETS) 200-level class offers specialized training in service truck operation, equipment lifting, hydraulic tool operation and more.  

Key dates and locations for the ETS 200 class are April 16-19 in Brooksville, Fla.; May 21-24 in Youngstown, Ohio; Sept. 17-20 in Youngstown, Ohio; and Dec. 10-13: Brooksville, Fla.  

The TIA Earthmover Tire Service Instructor 400-level class provides advanced instruction, covering safety guidelines, speed restrictions and hands-on training in demounting, mounting and inflating tubeless OTR tires on various rims. 

The ETS 400 takes place Aug. 13-16 in Garner, Iowa. 

The Advanced Farm Tire Service training focuses on service truck operation, equipment lifting and hydraulic tool operation. Professionals gain expertise in single-piece and dual tire demounting, mounting and inflation on and off the machine.  

The Farm Tire Service class takes place on June 11-14 in Garner, Iowa. 

TIA partners with MOHR Retail to bring Leadership training to the tire industry. The program covers leadership styles, communication, performance expectations and effective supervision.  

Dates for the MOHR Retail program are March 6 – April 24: Retail Tire Store Leadership; Oct. 2 – Nov. 20: Commercial Tire Store Leadership; and Sept. 10 – Oct. 8: Retail Multiunit Leadership.
