Titan Rolls Out Carlstar Skid Steer Tire

Titan International Inc. has unveiled the Carlstar-branded Ultra Guard Steel tire line, the company’s first steel-belted skid steer tire.

"The Ultra Guard Steel line addresses a growing need in the marketplace for a high-performance, steel-belted option for tough environments such as construction sites and areas with high-puncture hazards," say Titan officials.

“We listened to our customers and studied competitor offerings to engineer a tire that raises the bar for durability and rider comfort,” notes Travis Little, general manager of ag, construction and industrial products for Titan's Carlstar and Carlisle brands.

Features of the tire include heavy-duty steel belt construction for enhanced puncture resistance; a larger lug design for optimal load distribution; a flexible sidewall; and more.
