STTC Acquires Oasis Truck Tire Service
Bethlehem, Pa.-based Service Tire Truck Centers (STTC) has acquired the assets of Oasis Truck Tire Service, which has three locations in Connecticut.
Founded 30 years ago by Dave Petros, Oasis Truck Tire Service "has built a strong reputation for providing exceptional truck and earthmover tire services," according to STTIC officials. "This strategic acquisition marks another step in STTC’s expansion, allowing the company to fully serve the Connecticut market with locations strategically positioned along the state’s primary interstate routes."
Walt Dealtrey, president and CEO of STTC, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, calling it "an ideal fit for both organizations."
He highlighted the "shared legacy of service and strong customer focus that defines both
companies."
Dave Petros will remain with the company "in a multli-faceted role," say STTC officials.
"This expansion follows STTC’s acquisition of Mahwah Tire of New Jersey, founded by John VanBlarcom. John's business has a legacy connection to the many Earle’s Tire Service locations that were a familiar presence along the New Jersey Turnpike for decades. Mahwah Tire has since been integrated into an existing STTC location and John has joined the company as a sales representative."
With 54 locations, STTC is one of the 10 largest commercial tire dealerships in the U.S., according to MTD research. The company also operates four Michelin Technology Retread plants.
