Shrader Tire & Oil Co. has promoted Bob Feldbauer to president, effective Aug. 1.
Feldbauer will continue serving as chief operating officer and overseeing daily operations across the Toledo, Ohio-based commercial tire dealership’s 14 fleet locations. His expanded responsibilities also include market positioning, strategic partnerships and revenue growth initiatives.
Joe Shrader, who previously served as president and CEO, will remain CEO and focus on the company’s long-term vision and strategic direction.
“Bob has proven exactly what we hoped he would when we brought him on board — sharp operational instincts and a real drive to help this company grow,” says Shrader. “Putting him in the president seat lets us move faster on the growth plans we’ve been building toward.”
Feldbauer joined Shrader Tire & Oil as COO in January 2025. At the time, Shrader said the newly created position would help accelerate the dealership’s growth plans and cited Feldbauer’s experience from both the tire manufacturing and tire dealership sides of the industry.
Before joining Shrader Tire & Oil, Feldbauer spent 13-and-a-half years as president and CEO of Jack’s Tire & Oil Management Co. Inc. MTD previously reported that Jack’s Tire & Oil’s revenue increased 250% during Feldbauer’s tenure and that the dealership expanded its service footprint to 11 states.
Feldbauer also spent 14 years with Michelin North America Inc. in sales, training and other leadership positions. He ended his time with Michelin as director of commercial business for the tiremaker’s Central Zone.
“It has been a fast year and a half at Shrader Tire & Oil,” says Feldbauer. “I have gained tremendous insight and valuable knowledge about our organization’s structure, company culture and an understanding of our overall goals and commitments.
“One thing is clearly obvious — the commitment Shrader employees have to deliver the best customer experience each and every time. I appreciate this and look forward to supporting them as their president and COO.”
Founded in 1948, Shrader Tire & Oil is led by the third generation of the Shrader family, with members of the fourth generation serving in key positions.
The company serves commercial trucking and transportation customers in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. In addition to its 14 fleet locations, Shrader Tire & Oil operates two Michelin Retread Technologies plants and offers new, used and retread tires, fleet maintenance, bulk oil and lubricants and diesel exhaust fluid.
