The new e3 Wide DL21 ultra-super-single drive tire from Hankook Tire America Corp. is designed to provide greater longevity and mileage over its predecessor.
Hankook says the e3 Wide DL21 delivers a 2% increase in mileage and a 10% increase in rolling resistance over the DL07.
The tread pattern features Hankook’s three-dimensional siping technology for increased traction, lifespan and performance. The redesigned tread includes seven main grooves, reducing tread block cracking throughout its longer lifespan.
At the heart of the e3 Wide DL21’s improvements is Hankook’s Smartec TBR (truck and bus radial) technology. Smartec is an integrated manufacturing process combining the five main tire performance factors of safety, mileage, anti chip-cut, retreadability and traction.
