Continental Postpones Shareholders Meeting

March 16, 2020

Continental AG is postponing its annual shareholders’ meeting, which had been scheduled for April 30.

“The reason behind this decision is the ban on large events in (the) Lower Saxony (region of Germany) in response to the coronavirus pandemic,” say Continental officials.

A new date for the meeting, which will take place in Hanover, Germany, will be announced soon.

“As much as we regret postponing our shareholders’ meeting, we fully support the efforts of the authorities to contain the spread of the coronavirus,” says Continental CEO Dr. Elmar Degenhart.

“We ask all those involved for their understanding of our decision to postpone our annual shareholders’ meeting in such an exceptional situation.”
