Wood, the founder of Tire Discounters Inc., one of the fastest growing independent tire dealerships in the country, was the recipient of MTD's Tire Dealer of the Year Award in 2020.
He joined an elite club, which includes past winners like John McCarthy, president of McCarthy Tire Service Co. Inc.; the late Bruce Halle, founder of Discount Tire; Bob and Juanita Purcell of Purcell Tire & Rubber Co.; the late Paul Zurcher, founder of the Best-One Tire & Service network; Ricky Benton, owner of Black's Tire Service Inc.; Bill Williams, chairman of Jack Williams Tire Co. and others.
Modern Tire Dealer is accepting nominations for its annual Tire Dealer of the Year Award - which is the longest-running, most prestigious honor of its kind - through May 27, 2022, here.
In addition to the recognition of his or her peers, this year’s award winner will be featured in the September 2022 edition of MTD. (MTD's article about Wood can be accessed here.)
