Nitto Wins Big at King of Hammers Race

Feb. 7, 2024

Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. had a big victory at the 2024 Progressive King of Hammers race on Feb. 3 in Johnson Valley, Calif.

The race, presented by Nitto and powered by OPTIMA Batteries, crowned a new winner and ‘King’, JP Gomez. JP took the title from his brother, Raul Gomez, who held the title for two years.

“Trail Grapplers not only got JP Gomez to the finish line but propelled him past nearly the entire field of racers,” says Chris Corbett, light truck and off-road brand manager for Nittor Tire.

“His win proves the Trail Grappler’s performance and durability in the absolute roughest of circumstances.”
