Bridgestone sponsors Monterey Grand Prix

Bridgestone Corp. is returning as the title sponsor of the Bridgestone Grand Prix of Monterey (Calif.) next month.

The race will be held Sept. 10-12.

Bridgestone also will sponsor the Champ Car Night in conjunction with the event.

In addition, Bridgestone/Firestone dealers in the area will offer voucher books to fans, starting on Sept. 1.

"The Bridgestone Grand Prix of Monterey is a marquee event for our company," says Al Speyer, executive director of motorsports for Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC.
