ATEQ debuts TPMS sensor checker

Jan. 12, 2009

ATEQ Corp. has introduced the TPMS Sensor Check Box that can determine if a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor is working properly before it is mounted on a wheel.

According to the company, the following problems can be identified:

* The pressure sensor port is plugged by tire repair sealants and is not reading the correct pressure.

* The wrong pressure range is applied to the sensor, thus providing a difference between the gauge and the TPMS reading.

* The pressure sensor chamber is leaking and has a manufacturing defect.

For more information, call ATEQ at (888) 621-TPMS (8767) or see the company’s Web site at www.ateq-tpms.com.
