Firestone store offers 'green oil change'

Firestone Complete Auto Care stores in the Boston, Mass., market are offering "environmentally friendly" oil changes.

The oil change uses a recycled, twice-refined oil called EcoPower, which "meets or exceeds the highest North American standards for motor oil performance in gasoline engines... (and) requires 85% less energy to produce than regular motor oil," say Bridgestone Americas Inc. officials.

"Oil removed from the vehicles during oil changes is sent to a re-refiner so it can be reused."
