Commercial vehicle sales in China are projected to decline 7% in 2011 compared to 2010. Sales volumes in China slowed for most medium- and heavy-duty truck categories during the third quarter.
This information is included in the recently released China Commercial Vehicle Outlook. The report is jointly published quarterly by Americas Commercial Transportation Research Co. LLC (ACT) and China’s State Information Center (SIC).
“The pace of economic growth slowed during the third quarter, primarily due to a falloff in the rate of growth for both investments and domestic consumption,” says Frank Maly, director of CV transportation analysis & research at ACT. “However, inflation has begun to moderate, and foreign trade grew at a better than expected pace.”
The outlook includes an overview of the China economy and a review and forecast of China’s heavy- and medium-duty truck and bus markets, as well as analysis of OEM market shares within China. For more information visit http://www.actresearch.net.
