Tire Rack Inc. is renaming its wholesale business. Tire Rack Wholesale will become TR Wholesale Solutions effective Jan. 1, 2017.
The wholesale part of the South Bend, Indiana-based business began in 1988, and the company says at that time its primary focus was supplying tires to retailers. But over the years Tire Rack Wholesale has grown to include more than just tires, but also wheels, suspension and accessories, and tools.
“The time is right to rename Tire Rack Wholesale as TR Wholesale Solutions to serve our wholesale customers,” says Mark Veldman, CEO and president of TR Wholesale Solutions. “This name more aptly describes the comprehensive solutions that we can provide and are looking forward to further developing for our wholesale customers. The best part is that other than the name, customers shouldn’t notice any changes in that they will still be working with the same great team in all areas of the business, from sales to customer service to accounting.”
The company says the goal is to better describe the full scope of “solutions” it offers, “while providing the opportunity to further grow the excellent level of customer service and complete product offering customers have come to expect.”
Wholesale customers will continue to receive the monthly “Update” mailing, and in January it will include the new TR Wholesale Solutions logo.
The change does not affect Tire Rack’s retail business at www.tirerack.com.
