Nov. 2, 2022

The Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) announced the recipients of two WTC Lifetime Achievement Awards during this week's SEMA Show.

Recipients were Dr. Roy Littlefield, former CEO of the Tire Industry Association, and longtime SEMA official Stuart Gosswein.

The presentation took place on Nov. 1.

Littlefield, who retired from TIA last year, joined the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association, the precursor to TIA, in 1979.

"Littlefield dedicated his career to growing TIA’s membership, supporting training programs for technicians and utilizing legislative influence to create awareness of industry areas of focus and creating positive change," say WTC officials.

Gosswein, who joined SEMA in 1983, "dedicated four decades to serving SEMA by protecting the association’s interests through government affairs initiatives," according to WTC officials.

"He started as regulatory affairs manager and eventually became senior director of federal government affairs. Specializing in regulatory issues for the automotive aftermarket, Gosswein also serves on the board of directors for the Off-Road Business Association."
