Continental Posted Sales Gain in 2021

Continental AG posted a 6% gain in net sales during 2021 versus previous-year levels. "Our Tires and ContiTech sectors achieved good results despite massive cost increases," says Continental Chairman Nikolai Setzer.

Looking ahead, Continental expects that its Tires business will achieve sales of 13.3 billion euros to 13.8 billion euros during 2022. 

Overall, the company expects to post consolidated sales of around 38 billion euros to 40 billion euros this year.

Continental believes that global production of passenger and light commercial vehicles will increase by up to 9%.
