Pirelli & Cie SpA has unveiled the Pirelli P Zero Winter 2, which has been designed for high performance electric cars.
The P Zero Winter 2, which will be available in North America, comes in 35 sizes, fitting wheels ranging from 18 inches to 22 inches in diameter, and is equipped with the company's Elect electric vehicle tire technology.
The tire features a directional design; sipes "with a 3D structure," according to Pirelli officials; a tread compound that has been engineered "to deliver balanced behavior on different winter surfaces;" and more.
"Additionally, the P Zero Winter 2 replacement range with Elect technology is made with over 50% bio-based or recycled materials. This feature is recognizable from the bespoke marking on the sidewall, a logo recently introduced by Pirelli to identify products with a sustainable materials content of at least 50%."
