Yokohama Adds 33 Sizes to Geolandar Tire

Yokohama Tire Corp.'s Geolandar A/T4 G018 light truck tire is now available in 100 sizes.

The newly expanded range includes 33 newly added Euro-metric and P-metric sizes to go along with the 67 LT-metric sizes, according to Yokohama officials.

"The go-anywhere' A/T4 is offered in sizes ranging from 15- to 22-inch wheel diameters.

More A/T4 sizes are expected to be rolled out in the near future, according to Kevin Nguyen, Yokohama's manager of product planning.

"The multipurpose A/T4 is designed to take drivers just about anywhere, on- or off-road, and in any weather condition,” he says. "It offers incredible off-road resilience and is severe snow service-rated. Plus the A/T4 features a dual-sidewall design, which allows consumers to choose the appearance they like the best, and it carries a 55,000- to 65,000-mile limited treadwear warranty.”

The tire's benefits include optimized off-road durability thanks to Yokohama’s GEO-SHIELD technology, "which delivers extra-strength for on- and off-road use by providing multiple sidewall plies, a full nylon cap and a high turn-up carcass;" reliable all-weather performance "achieved by the advanced tread pattern, which features zig-zag grooves and triple 3D sipes for superb performance in dry and wet;" enhanced winter traction due to 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification; on-road comfort provided by single-pitch shoulder blocks, which reduce noise on-road while enhancing traction off-road; and more.

The A/T4 has been optimized for on- and off-road traction, "attained by aggressive center blocks that provide exceptional off-road traction on any trail surface. Additionally, the (tire's) enhanced profile firmly grounds tread blocks for confident on-road handling and improved off-traction."
