Toyo Launches Proxes Sport R

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has introduced the Proxes Sport R, an extreme performance summer tire "designed for passionate drivers and motorsports enthusiasts.

"The tire was meticulously engineered for various motorsports applications like autocross, time attack, endurance racing and high-performance driving events," say Toyo officials.

"Delivering outstanding capability in dry conditions, the Proxes Sport R features an aggressive directional tread pattern, reinforced internal casing and a high-grip compound. Providing exceptional dry handling, traction and high-speed stability, this tire offers the ideal balance of grip and longevity for classic and modern sports cars. Pertinent to racers, the Proxes Sport R carries a 200 AA A UTQG treadwear rating, meeting competitive racing class requirements."

"The Proxes Sport R is our latest extreme performance summer tire, crafted for drivers who demand racetrack performance along with the practicality for street use,” says Cameron Parsons, technical field manager, motorsports tires, Toyo. “We focused on building a very capable tire by incorporating an advanced tread pattern and compound, resulting in excellent dry grip and durability on track for the 200 UTQG segment.”

The tire will be produced in over 50 unique sizes and load/speed combinations for 13- to 21-inch wheel diameters. It will be featured at the SEMA Show, Nov. 4-7, in the Toyo Tires Treadpass area.

Initial sizes will be available for sale in the first half of 2026, with additional fitments released throughout the remainder of next year.
