40x13.50R17 Predator New Mutant RT Hits Market

Transamerica Tire Co. Ltd. unveiled the all-new 40x13.50R17 Predator New Mutant RT  during the recent SEMA Show.

During the 2025 SEMA Show, Transamerica Tire showcased the Predator New Mutant RT on a fully upfitted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 in the company's booth.

"The 392 build drew crowds for its striking presence, but it was the bold 40-inch New Mutant RT Trail tires – featuring aggressive, nearly half-height sidewall lugs – that stole the spotlight," according to Transamerica Tire officials.

"Show attendees praised the tire's rugged design, engineered specifically to protect against punctures and enhance lateral grip in demanding terrains like Moab, Sand Hollow and iconic off-road destinations across the western United States."

The New Mutant RT Trail is "strategically positioned between Predator's X-RT and X-MT lines. It merges the versatile all-terrain and rugged-terrain capability of the X-RT with the deep-tread mud-terrain dominance of the X-MT, creating the ideal solution for drivers who need one tire that can truly do it all. Designed for adventure-ready daily drivers and dedicated weekend trail rigs alike, the New Mutant RT Trail delivers trail confidence, road comfort, and dependable year-round performance."

Features include an all-new advanced off-road compound that provides "exceptional traction on mud, snow and loose surfaces, while maintaining long tread life and stable highway performance;" an optimized tread design with "an intermediate void ratio and aggressive tread pattern;" an advanced tread pattern that minimizes road noise; deep siped tread blocks to "deliver confident handling in rain, snow, slush, and wintry conditions;" dual sidewall designs with reinforced shoulder grooves; and more.
