Scott Highfill, who is celebrating 50 years in the tire industry, will be inducted into the California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) Hall of Fame at the group's Jan. 29 luncheon.

The event will take place at Stevens Steak & Seafood House in Commerce, Calif., and is sponsored by a variety of organizations, including Diamond sponsor Federated Insurance, luncheon founder 1-800EveryRim OEM Wheels, Boyd, Shackelford, Barnett & Dixon, DJM Solutions, Hawley Insurance Services, Mighty Auto Parts, Myers Tire Supply, New York Life, Nokian Tyres, Parts Authority, TireTutor and Yokohama Tire Corp.

Highfill "has been an exemplary volunteer contributor to CTDA," according to association officials. "Annually, he recruits attendees for CTDA’s San Diego Area Meetings, ensuring the events are well-attended through his extensive contacts in the region. He was also responsible for organizing a very successful workers’ compensation program for the association in 1988."

Darren McLea of DJM Solutions will provide the keynote address, entitled “Never Lose a Tire Deal…or Any Other Sale," at the luncheon.

"McLea grew up in the tire business and now helps advance the business development and employee communication of tire and auto repair companies through his company, DJM Solutions. DJM offers online zoom classes, individual coaching and live in-person group training to help businesses in the industry increase their revenue and customer satisfaction."

Attendance is free for CTDA members. A handful of free spots are still available for non-member tire dealers.
