Continental Launches SecureContact AW

Continental Tire the Americas LLC has launched the Continental SecureContact AW, a new all-weather touring tire designed for passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs. 

The tire will come in 46 sizes ranging from 15 inches to 20 inches, with a 60,000-mile limited warranty.

The SecureContact AW offers enhanced traction in all weather conditions and heightened performance for wet braking and wet handling, according to Continental officials.

Other features of the tire include EcoPlus Technology, which “provides fuel savings and optimized range, shorter stopping distances on wet roads and extended tread life,” and QuickView Indicators in the tread that “visually inform drivers of the tire's level of performance.”

Carrying the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol, “the SecureContact AW’s asymmetric tread pattern incorporates snow pockets and bow-shaped siping that evolve with wear, maintaining strong wet and snow traction throughout the tire’s life,” say Continental officials. 

The SecureContact AW is also EV compatible, “as all Continental product lines are designed with electric vehicles (EVs) in mind.”
