VIP Tires & Service Expands in Connecticut

Auburn, Maine-based VIP Tires & Service has acquired Lyons Auto Service, which has been rebranded Lyons Auto Service by VIP.

The acquisition of Lyons Auto Service, which is based in West Hartford, Conn., expands VIP Tires & Service's network to 77 locations throughout Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.

The outlet has eight employees and VIP Tires & Service plans to hire more.

"West Hartford is an important market for VIP and this acquisition allows us to better say yes to our customers," says Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP Tires & Service, one of the largest tire dealerships in the U.S., according to MTD data.
