VIP Tires & Service, based in Auburn, Maine, raised more than $320,000 for Make-A-Wish in 2025, with VIP Executive Chairman John Quirk once again matching the company’s overall contribution. VIP presented Make-A-Wish Maine with the official check on Feb. 16.

“At VIP, we don’t just talk the talk when it comes to charity; we walk the walk, supporting the causes that matter most,” said Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP. “In 2025, VIP customers and employees raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Make-A-Wish and children in need, and our leadership team couldn’t be prouder of this long-term commitment to philanthropy. Make-A-Wish is one of the world’s most impactful charities, working around the clock to care for New England’s most vulnerable children. The VIP team is right there too, standing by their side.”

VIP has donated nearly $2 million to Make-A-Wish since the company first partnered with the charity in 2008.

VIP customers donated to the company’s 2025 contribution in all five New England states with VIP locations, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont. Maine led the way with over $181,000 raised, including Quirk’s matching donation. New Hampshire came in second with nearly $67,000 raised (match included). The funds raised in each state will remain in those states to fund local Make-A-Wish initiatives.

As northern New England’s largest privately held automotive service provider and tire dealer, VIP’s charity and community service initiatives extend across the communities its 77 New England locations touch. In addition to supporting Make-A-Wish every year, VIP also works to protect a clean, green environment by recycling used antifreeze, motor oil and transmission fluid, free of charge.
