VIP Awarded 2025 WishMaker Award from Make-A-Wish Maine
VIP Inc., dba VIP Tires & Service, has received the 2025 WishMaker Award from Make-A-Wish Maine, honoring the company’s longstanding partnership with Make-A-Wish.
In 2024, VIP Tires & Service customers and employees donated nearly $330,000 – the most ever in a single year – to the charity as part of the company’s commitment to philanthropy, with John Quirk, executive chairman of VIP and MTD’s 2018 Tire Dealer of the Year, matching VIP’s overall contribution.
Since first partnering with Make-A-Wish in 2008, VIP’s total contribution has surpassed $1.6 million.
Brian Franks, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Maine, named VIP Tires & Service its 2025 WishMaker at the VIP Managers Conference, which was held at the Samoset Resort.
During the conference, VIP and Make-A-Wish Maine partnered to grant the wish of a young boy with cystic fibrosis and his family with a fully paid trip to Legoland in Florida.
“VIP Tires & Service is very committed to and involved with every community we serve,” says Quirk.
“We’re especially proud to partner with Make-A-Wish each year for the annual Season of Wishes campaign, generating nearly $330,000 in 2024 and over $1.6 million over our 18-year partnership with the charity. Those dollars stay in the communities and states where the money was raised, making this a very local contribution. We are happy to be Make-A-Wish Maine’s biggest corporate partner, playing a crucial role in bringing hope and joy to children battling critical illnesses. And we see our contributions in our other states of New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut growing every year. Granted wishes involve the entire family and let them enjoy a special time together, doing something fun, without the strain of the medical situation top of mind.
