Discount Tire and Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. have received the Green Good Design Award for the Range Finder GT-e, a premium all-season SUV tire.

Exclusively sold at Discount Tire and developed for both gas and electric vehicles, the Range Finder GT-e is manufacturerd by Kumho  and is designed to "sustain high loads" with consistent handling. The tire's "latest rubber technology was utilized to create a unique compound for a more fuel-efficient tire and to achieve a reduction in rolling resistance," say Discount Tire officials.

Presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, the prestigious Green Good Design Award celebrates the outstanding innovation in sustainable design. Discount Tire officials say the company was selected to be among the honorees from over 32 nations.
