Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has launched its new Proxes G-Tour, a grand touring all-season tire designed for premium CUVs, SUVs and passenger cars.

"The Proxes G-Tour is an ideal OE replacement tire with a modern design and exceptional fuel and range efficiency for gas, hybrid and electric powertrains," say Toyo officials.

"It offers enhanced driving comfort compared to ultra-high performance, all-weather, and standard touring tires with its reduced road noise and low rolling resistance for a wide range of vehicles.

Other benefits of the Proxes G-Tour include "dependable wet, dry, and light snow traction throughout its wear life thanks to an asymmetrical tread design and five-variable pitch pattern that reduces tire pattern noise for an enjoyable ride.

"Beveled tread blocks are incorporated to effectively evacuate water to maximize road contact. High stiffness center ribs and outside tread blocks, an advanced tread compound and multi-wave sipes, are combined to achieve ride comfort with strong wet and dry performance."

Enhanced stiffness in the tire's center ribs and outside tread blocks provide firm grip and stability during cornering, while the product's advanced tread compound maximizes wet traction and even wear. 

"Multi-wave sipes in the tire’s design help reduce irregular wear for a longer tread life, while achieving a smooth quiet ride and performance in both dry and inclement weather."

The tire will be produced in over 70 unique sizes and load/speed combinations for 16- to 22-inch wheel diameters with speed ratings of T, H, V, and W.

Initial sizes will be available for sale starting in September, with additional fitments released throughout the remainder of the year.

Popular fitments for this lineup include CUVs, SUVs, and passenger cars from Audi, BMW, Lexus, Tesla, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Volkswagen and other premium vehicles.
