VIP Tires & Service has acquired M&M Service Station in Fort Kent, Maine, expanding its network to 78 locations across five New England states.

The location will begin operating as M&M Service Station by VIP on Oct. 1. Former owner Zach Hafford will remain with the business as store manager.

M&M Service Station currently employs six people, and VIP officials say the company plans to add two certified technician positions.

“It has been great owning M&M Service Station for the last five years, but joining forces with VIP will help us invest a lot more in customer service tools and will provide more career opportunities for my M&M team members,” says Hafford.

The three-bay facility, located at 69 E. Main St. in Fort Kent, also is scheduled for a renovation in 2027. Plans include the addition of two service bays, new automotive, tire and alignment equipment and on-site storage capacity for up to 1,000 tires.

VIP also plans to renovate the store’s interior and add customer amenities found at the company’s other locations.

VIP says it provides Automotive Service Excellence and Tire Industry Association certification and education opportunities to employees throughout its network.

The acquisition is VIP’s second announced in 2026, the company’s 100th year in business. VIP operates locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
